COMMUNICATION

WHAT IS COMMUNICATION AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

Communication is characterized as the transmission of knowledge for the purpose of obtaining a better understanding. It has five main functions: to inform, express feelings, imagine, influence, and fulfill social expectations. People get more connected as a result of communication. Thus, being able to communicate effectively is considered to be one of the most important life skills.

Words account for just 7% of all touch in a conversation. Facial expressions, intonations, gestures, inflection, pause, head nods, and various other subliminal, non-verbal signals make up the remaining 93%. Meaning to say, those actions qualify and give the words we chose true definition. Hence, we can say that face to face communication is the more effective and preferred.
